Many people choose to work in Tenerife for a number of factors such as the climate as it is one of the best in the world. For the British there is a large community therefore many with no language skills can manage to get by although the chances of decent work in Tenerife increases for every language spoken. It’s not unusual to find people here that can speak four or five languages.

The easiest way to find a Job in Tenerife is to book an inexpensive package holiday for a couple of weeks, this gives you a base to work from. If you’re serious about finding work in Tenerife as soon as you arrive you should look for work, treat the two weeks as work not a holiday. Many jobs in Tenerife are never advertised because there are a number of people who do the rounds of companies on a regular basis. Also many bar jobs in Tenerife are mentioned to the staff and friends or people they know will be given the job before it is needed to advertise it.

Wages are much lower in Tenerife (average weekly is about €200 roughly £150). However life here can be very good, the cost of living is less than the UK, particularly for eating and drink out, and of course there is the climate.
