Los Cristianos was originally a small fishing village tucked into a wide sheltered bay on the south coast of Tenerife. With its very own way of life, there was little contact with the north and the capital Santa Cruz. However with the construction of the motorway and the opening of a southern airport Reina Sofia, tourism in the area expanded and the area grew. Over the years Los Cristianos continued to grow and is now one of the largest tourist developments on the island.

The south of the island therefore can really offer something for everyone.
