World Cup Victory for Spain

The Spanish football team, La Furia Roja, won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa this week. The game was hard and difficult but the excellent player Iniesta, put the ball into the goal for the only goal in the game, but enough to give Spain the World Cup. The team returned to Spain the next day and had an audience with King Juan Carlos I and then a presentation with the Spanish Prime Minister, Jose Luis Zapatero. After these two acts the team went on a Victory Parade on the top of an open deck double decker bus through Madrid seen by massive crowds, to a stage where famous singers held a concert right by the river to an enormous crowd. The complete team and trainers were on stage all the time and joined in with the festivities, together with the crowd.
