Bluetrail

Welcome to the Bluetrail. This is a project with two reasons in mind, firstly to help with the conservation of the Protected Natural Areas on the island, and secondly to create more sporting hobbies within this great natural environment. Basically so people and nature can live in harmony. The Bluetrail hopes to consolidate Tenerife as an active sporting holiday destination and nature destination for all ages. The trail stretches from Los Cristianos to La Orotava in the north of the island (95 km), but there are also two partial trails 1) From Teide to La Orotava (52 km) and 2) From La Caldera de La Orotava (21 km). There is also a Trail of 4.2 km designed for the sport enthusiasts who have some difficulty and have to use a bike, or other vehicle, that is driven by an arm action. There are various categories taking into account age, sex and physical impediments, but this is a magnificent way to learn about rural Tenerife in the true sense.
