Arona award grant to improve the area

Arona has been awarded several grants from the Tourist Board which amounts to around 1,400,000 euros. These grants where award for the implementation of rehabilitating the area, in this regard the mayor explained that one of these grants, amounting to 910.000,86 euros will be used to pay for part of the works of the Promenade of Los Cristianos. This will involve resurfacing of the section with planting of vegetation and placement of new benches, the work will also include an expansion of the port. It was also stated that these jobs where planned in a way that would be complementary to the Infrastructure and Tourism qualities. This will be done to unify and improve the coastal promedade, "intended to revive, promote and maintain this area as an attractive destination for visitors, in addition to improving the quality of life of residents."
